Strategic analysis: Siecap shares skills and insights in exclusive training course for supply chain and procurement analysts

Siecap’s Strategic Analysis Training course on 29 March gave supply chain and procurement analysts an opportunity to connect with others in the industry. Focused on up-and-coming leaders, the session shared new skills and approaches for analysing data, engaging stakeholders and communicating findings.

Open to a capped group of only 15 participants, the half-day course was held at the private dining room of Motorwagen Restaurant, below Siecap’s Brisbane City offices, and gave participants a valuable opportunity to learn new skills in a small, intensive session.

The course covered topics including :

  • What makes a good analyst?
  • Becoming a trusted advisor
  • Qualitative and quantitative techniques
  • Problem-solving and getting things done
  • Communicating meaningful results
  • Powerful charts and insights
  • Presenting information
  • Business intelligence (BI) case examples

David Irvine, Siecap CEO, highlighted the importance of the training. “Training like this gives supply chain and procurement analysts vital tools for improving their work. By broadening their strategic knowledge, we also equip them to take on greater responsibility in their roles as analysts,” said Irvine. “The training delivers results for participants but also provides a development opportunity for our own Siecap team presenting the training.”
