Caltex Lubricants hosted a cross industry pollination session for female leaders at their lubricants manufacturing site to promote and discuss Caltex Diversity programs, gender specific issues across industries and share lessons learned throughout supply chain management.
Five senior leaders from Energex joined the Caltex Lubricants team for an cross industry forum , followed by a presentation of the Caltex Lubricants business and concluding with a tour of the manufacturing plant by Caltex female leaders in purchasing, production, laboratory, warehouse and distribution. A reciprocal visit at Energex has been arranged, and as a result of the successful event, future cross industry forums will be planned.
Raquel Taylor, National Warehouse & Distribution Manager at Caltex who hosted the event with her career counterparts at Energex stated:
“The cross-industry pollination session provided an excellent opportunity to share insights with our peers and hear about the initiatives others have in place to implement ideas from other sectors. The problem with industries is the fact that they believe their problems and challenges are unique, when in reality we all are experiencing very similar issues just with a different product or service. These cross industry sessions give us the opportunity to learn from others and expand our thought process”
