Strategic analysis course goes national: Siecap training empowers supply chain leaders in Sydney and Melbourne

Following a successful session in Brisbane in March, Siecap has delivered its Strategic Analysis Training course in Sydney and Melbourne, giving supply chain and procurement analysts an opportunity to connect with others in the industry.

The sessions focused on up-and-coming leaders from Toyota, Office Works, Telstra, AGL, Caltex, CSR, Bluescope, Boral, Ausgrid, Fletcher, Sanofi, Blackwoods, Nexans Olex, Transport for NSW, Coles, Bradken, Inghams, Pitney Bowes, South 32 and MMG; sharing new skills and approaches for analysing data, engaging stakeholders and communicating findings. They also provided a valuable development opportunity for the Siecap team members presenting the training.

The single-day events were held at Dexus Place in Melbourne and Sydney on 23 and 24 May 2019 respectively. Topics covered in the training included:

  • What makes a good analyst?
  • Becoming a trusted advisor
  • Qualitative and quantitative techniques
  • Problem-solving and getting things done
  • Communicating meaningful results
  • Powerful charts and insights
  • Presenting information
  • Business intelligence (BI) case examples

“There is a real demand for informative and interactive sessions like this,” noted David Irvine, Siecap CEO. “We’re pleased to be able to deliver training that gives supply chain and procurement analysts up-to-date advice and vital tools for improving their work. In broadening their strategic knowledge, they are empowered to take on greater responsibility in their roles as analysts.”
