Giving back for good – Siecap contributes its project management capabilities to the NFP sector

Leading project management and advisory firm Siecap attended and offered their time and expertise to the PMDoS Brisbane 2016 service day, which was jointly hosted by Project Management for Change and the Project Management Institute Queensland chapter at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday 4th November.

Over 100 people attended the inaugural Queensland event that saw 19 charities and not for profit organisations receive support and guidance from the project management industry. The first of its kind in Queensland, the event put project managers in the driver’s seat to raise the profile of the project management profession, whilst serving the local community in a highly impactful way.

The event ensures that not for profit and charity organisations get the help they need to address their most pressing mission-critical need. Throughout the day, participants discussed and diagnosed an organisation’s critical challenge and then each team scoped out a project to help address and overcome the issue.

Consultants Nicholas Treston and Todd Lebrocque represented Siecap at the event, each of them working on a different charity’s challenge. Nick assisted with the workplace giving initiative for Youngcare, while Todd helped with Link Vision’s challenge related to strategy, business plan and operations.

The consultants delivered an innovative project to increase workplace giving numbers over the next 18 months for Youngcare and revised 2017 strategy, business and implementation plans for Link Vision respectively. Both Nick and Todd thoroughly enjoyed the day and were immensely satisfied with the outcomes that were achieved, both for themselves and for their charity.

Siecap CEO David Irvine was proud that Siecap contributed to such a great initiative.

It’s a fantastic forum for Project Mangers to give back to the community whilst putting their skills to the test and gaining new insights from their work on the day”, he said.

Siecap excels in the following core areas: project development and management, cost optimisation, performance and improvement and supply chain and logistics.  Its veteran advisors offer first-class technical and techno economic skills and an extensive knowledge base.

The company’s blue-chip clients include Transport For NSW, Caltex, Mercedes-Benz, Nexans Olex, Origin Energy, Incitec Pivot, AGL Energy, Staples, Toyota, Super Amart, Super Retail Group, Fletcher Insulation and more.
