Forum examines market realities and organisational challenges in the supply chain industry

Siecap’s Supply Chain Industry Breakfast Forum on 17 May 2019 brought together industry leaders to dissect current market trends and explore common challenges faced by organisations in Australia and internationally.

Held at The Brisbane Club, the event included attendees from industry heavyweights such as Aurizon, BHP, Caltex, Orica and Shell.

Siecap CEO David Irvine led far-reaching discussions around organisational issues, including:team culture and development and, diversity and inclusion.

“As always, our forums provide a valuable opportunity to assess the industry as it currently stands, and to share insights as organisations plan for the future,” David Irvine said.

The discussion yielded many interesting points and examples from key players in the supply chain industry, giving an important snapshot of organisational culture today.

“Globally – and across all industries – the organisations that are embracing diversity and making themselves accountable for developing cohesive, well-supported teams are reaping the benefits,” Irvine noted. “How organisations choose to respond to change, to challenges and to evolving market expectations, will be a deciding factor when it comes to their future success.”

Siecap is grateful to those who attended and contributed to another successful and constructive event. We look forward to our next opportunity to share insights and continue to improve our industry.
