The Background

  • Upon a strategic business review, one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of lubricants decided to exit a 15 year old joint venture agreement and to bring the supply chain and logistics operations back in house to take control of all aspects of the business
  • With the exit date set, the client developed a three staged approach to execute, including transition, optimisation and growth. The key mandate for the immediate transition phase was that there would be no impact on customer service
