Tim Crossley presents at PMIQ Chapter event

Advisory Board Member Tim Crossley presented at the recent Project Management Institute Queensland’s Chapter event which was held last Tuesday at the Hilton Hotel, Brisbane.

Over 60 people from the project management industry attended the event– entitled “Project Management: still missing what really matters”.

Keynote speaker- USQ Associate Professor Jon Whitty provided a critique of the project management world and how PM’s have to do their job with tools, systems and expectations which are inappropriate for their work. He explained “How in the process of selecting what is ‘best’ for managing project work we have missed what really matters”.

Following from Jon, Tim Crossley took to the stage and provided industry insights on project management tools and discussed the importance as project complexity increases but tools alone won’t deliver good project outcomes. “You still need capability, sponsorship and leadership if you want outstanding outcomes”.

The next PMIQ Chapter event will be on 17 November. For more information visit PMIQ.
